2024 General election: counting down the top 10 possible employment law changes

In this webinar:

In this 45-minute webinar Brightmine legal editors Zeba Sayed and Stephen Simpson will offer a countdown of the top 10 employment law proposals that are likely to have the biggest impact on employers.

Among the Labour proposals that we will discuss are:

Introduction of ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting

Right to disconnect, sometimes referred to as “right to switch off”

Reduction of the three-tier system of employment status to two-tier system of “worker” and self-employed

Stephen and Zeba will also examine what is likely to happen to the current Government’s employment law plans that have already reached an advanced stage but have not yet been implemented. These include the proposed statutory “fire and rehire” code of practice, new duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment, and new right to neonatal leave and pay.
