In-depth pay analytics are central to advancing pay equity and business strategies in today’s world of work. With the help of advanced pay equity software, employers can leverage pay analytics to reveal and analyse pay gaps, model interventions, and ultimately, make real progress in their pay equity goals.

In the UK, employers have made progress in reducing their pay gaps, no doubt with the help of people data. But statistics show that some business sectors in the UK are lagging. One of these sectors is the financial services industry. According to the ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, the average gender pay gap in the financial services industry is 27.9%. That’s almost twice as high as the UK average (14.3%).

As the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority consider measures to address diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and under-representation in the sector, organisations are under pressure to review and understand their data around these crucial issues…and take action.
